PREAMBLE

In order to organize and plan all kinds of activities promoting tourism on the island of La Palma, as well as to coordinate and facilitate the exchange of information, monographic studies about tourism and other necessary data for the improvement of tourism offer, is establish as authorized in the article 4 of Decree 2418 on 9 of August from the Ministry of Information and Tourism, publish in BOE No 217, dated on 10 of September 1974, and the Associations Law 191/64 of 24 of December, the establishment of the Centre for Initiatives and Tourism Island of La Palma, voluntary, and that are subject to the following statutes.

CHAPTER I

DENOMINATION, OBJECT AND PURPOSES

Art. 1 DENOMINATION AND CONSTITUTION

It will be named Centre of Initiatives and Insular Tourism of La Palma Island, and will be composed of individuals or companies advocates of tourism on the island of La Palma, upon request and are admitted, non-profit.

Art. 2 OBJECT
The primary purposes of this Centre are
   1. To plan and coordinate all kind of activities and tourist projects that are under promotion.
2. To cooperate with tourist agencies on La Palma, the Island Council, Town Halls and Tourism Agency for the most unanimous development of the tourism in the whole Island of  La Palma.
3. To promote the study, knowledge, publication, education and application of any technical, economic, social, cultural, ecological process, formational, etc. that contributes to the harmonic development of the tourism.
4. To represent and defend the interest of the partners as necessary for the entire accomplishment of the objectives, in front of all the power and authorities.
5. To establish and provide services of common concern that the partners require.
6. To convene and hold meetings, congresses, conferences, workshops, etc., for the study and research of the tourism problems and for the progress of the techniques and methods of training and promotion.

   7. To create, promote or join to any movement, activity, entity that promotes, encourages or creates social empowerment, promotional or formational tourism or infrastructure base in the hospitality industry.
8. To manage, propose and carry out any other actions that could contribute to the tourist promotion in La Palma.

Art. 3 HEAD OFFICE

The head office is established in Santa Cruz of The Palm, street O’Daly núm. 39 - 2 º Office G, without prejudice of the variations of place that subsequently could be agreed

Art. 4 AREA

The Centre of Initiatives and Insular Tourism of La Palma extends the area to the whole Island of La Palma, and it is of unlimited duration.

CHAPTER II

OF THE ASSOCIATES, RIGHTS AND DUTIES

 

Art. 5 RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE ASSOCIATES

To acquire the status of partner, you would apply to the Centre and accept the following rights and obligations.

The members of the Centre will have the following rights:

  1. To elect and be elected to integrate the organs of government.
  2. To obtain the assistance of the Center and use the services and facilities in a way that its case decides.
  3. To attend with voice and vote in the assemblies and meetings those are summoned.
  4. To take part in the election of the Executive Committee.
  5. To intervene in the economic and administrative management of the Center and to examine its countable documentation.
  6. To express freely their opinions in matters of interest and formulate questions and process requests to the organs of government of the Center.
  7. To be part of the commissions or representations those are constituted with specific purposes.
  8. Any other that stem of the above.
